Wheel throwing introduction
In this 4-week-beginners class, Annique will teach you the foundations of throwing on the potter’s wheel and you will make your own ceramic pieces. The course will cover how to throw, trim and glaze tableware pieces in our studio in the heart of Leipzig.

Session 1+2: You will learn the process of throwing from preparing the clay to centering the clay on the wheel, opening and pulling walls. In the first session, the differents steps will be demontrated and you will be guided through your first tries. In the second session, you will get the chance to build on your experience and deepen your skills.
This class will be taught in german.
Session 3: The pieces you made in the first two sessions will be trimmed and finalized for firing, for example adding handles on your leather-hard pieces.
Session 4: Learn how to properly glaze and decorate your bisque-fired pieces before they will go into their final firing.
Your pieces will be ready to pick up approx. 3 week after your last class in our studio during our opening hours.
Unfortunately, we cannot store your pieces longer than two month due to our storage capacity. Make sure to block your calendars, because all classes are fixed dates. This means we cannot substitute and reimburse classes that you missed.
